    Thanks for the tips John ! Seems like I’d read in one of the forums something about using proxy files & gear shift since the Hero HD files are h.264. Then again , I’d also read , just drop the files on the timeline & edit like always . I’ll put it to the test this weekend , when I do the first shoot with this camera. I’d also like to thank you for helping me out with HDV settings 1 year ago , they worked perfectly .

    Guess I spoke too soon . Tried this method on 2 other similar pieces of stock footage & it didn’t work . Any other tips ?

    Danny , ended up rendering clip as rgb , brought it into Vegas & selected field order -none , alpha channel -premultiplied & it worked . Thanks for your ideas

    I can key it out in Vegas with fair results . I was hoping there was a way to convert (add an alpha channel) the original mov file . Then when I bring it into the project & r click the file , choose properties & select straight in the alpha channel drop down.
