Vince:
Thanks. Ill try that. I dont have QT Pro. Ill get it tonight and install it.

I also have After Effects 7 and see a few mpeg4 options. I tried a few of them and got an error right at the end: After Effects error: Quicktime Export failed — Quicktime error (-2002).
At a quick glance, nothing in the Event Viewer logs and I cant seem to locate the After Effects logs. I’ll look a little deeper.

I would stay away from the IDE connections. IDE will be the weakest link in your data transfer.
Stick with SATA connections ONLY.
Also, I would avaoid messing with the heatsick also…youll at least need a lubricant between that connection and I also believe it will void your warrenty.

Hey Vincent:
Thanks for a quick response.
not looking at the cropping yet…
For saving the vids…I dont see the options you mention in Premiere Pro 2. I tried to save in different Quicktime formats with different selections including 264 with 512 streaming.
The PSP does not even recognise the files when saving as .mov. When I change the extension to .mp4 (in explorer) it will see the files, but are corrupted.
I even tried to save the files at a smaller size like 160×120 just to make sure it would fit inside the 320×240 screen, still no joy.
I also tried saving as MPEG1 and MPEG2.
Can this be a mpeg-4 issue since I dont see that as an option? I know all my other vids are mpeg-4.
Or maybe a frame rate issue?
Am I too quick to think Premiere Pro 2 doesnt support the format needed for recognition by PSP?

Thanks Jon:
I olny saw 2 options when saving…
I am currently using the standalone.
If I fire Zaxwerks up in After Effects, do the other options appear, or are these options already included in the stand alone?
I can use after effects too…I have 6.0.

I figured this out:
in ZAX: save as FRAME and then select “.jpg” from drop down.
open photoshop and create new
place photo
select color range and choose white background
click on left mask icon on lefthand toolbar
select white background
delete it
save as pngthere you go…badass 3d logos from ai>zax>photoshop
now I can load these into my Edirol CG8 and have a bangin video show in the clubs!

October 31, 2007 at 2:07 am in reply to: retain workspace settings when saving PNG files in AIOk…it looks like I can do this in Photoshop.
I dont know why AI crops the transparent parts of a png, but Photoshop works well.
Sorry for the bother.

I tried to run the Image Processor. I created the new script like Andrew mentioned…in Andrews way, I had to click ok after each picture.
Using the Image processor:
I set up the from and to folders,
selected the script I created,
clicked run,
It prompted me to select the pics from the folder,
I selected all and ok.
It opens them up, then does nothing. Is there a step Im missing?
How do I get Image to run and save, or the Andrews Batch to run without having to click next?
I have CS2

thanks..thats just what i was looking for…
one thing though…it pops up an “ok” gui that i have to accept before it goes on to each pic.
is there a way to make it roll through all the pics in the folder without having to click ok?
