Excellent, thank you for the informative response! I used the method you kindly explained with the Image Processor script, and it worked perfectly first time. This problem had bugging me for the past couple of days and was holding me back from getting along with my project, so i greatly appreciate your assistance. From now on i’ll perhaps just run my tasks this way instead as it seems to be less problematic. Cheers once again!

Excellent, thank you very much for that. It worked fine once i followed the instructions correctly, before i was a bit unsure about it all because i don’t have much experience with using channels.

Cheers for your assistance, it’s really appreciated as i have been wondering about this for many months when working on other projects.

    Hi Kalle,

Thank you for the response. I didn’t know that the Lens Blur effect existed in Photoshop but it does produce a more realistic blur for what i’m trying to do, and there’s a lot more customisation in the options page as well. About the problem i was having; if i make a selection of the car on the original layer and then click the button which says ‘Save selection to channel’, it produces a new channel called ‘Alpha 1’ underneath the RGB, Red, Green and Blue channels. But this next bit is where i’m having some difficulty, not entirely sure what to do afterwards? Please could you quickly run through the steps i need to take, once the channel has been created. Cheers!

Thanks very much! That was much more simple than i expected but i would never have worked it out by myself. Cheers!

Hi Mike, thank you so much for telling me about the Parent Motion feature, i didn’t even realize it existed! I checked out John’s tutorial and had a good read through it, then afterwards i had a quick look on YouTube to see whether anyone had made a video demonstrating the feature. I found a good video which showed many different clips being imported into a project and then grouped together using the parent/child composing options, then afterwards the clips moved around the frame in bulk using Parent Motion!

I really can’t believe i’ve been editing in Vegas for all this time and haven’t found out about this feature sooner; now i can finally finish making my intro! Thanks for your help once again, it is greatly appreciated!

Hi Mike; Thanks for the response. It took me a while to understand how that would work but i get it now. I like your thinking and it’s a good idea, but unfortunately i don’t think this would create the same effect that i was looking to achieve. It would just enlarge the logo over the other clips, rather than zooming in on it and pushing the clips outwards. I think what i basically need is a way of Event Pan/Cropping or Track Motioning all the tracks in the project at the same time.
