Applying Effect To Parent Group?
Hello,
I’m busy modifying my YouTube intro at the moment but i have ran into a small problem so i thought i’d ask for some help on here. Basically, i want to make all the tiles in the mosaic fade into black and white with some Gaussian blur over the top so that my logo can then appear above all the tiles. But the problem is, despite having added all the tiles to a parent group, when i add the black and white effect to the parent track, the effect is only applied to the selected parent track and not the child tracks.
Is there any way to apply an effect to all the clips in the parent group, a bit like a ‘Parent Motion’ but for effects instead?

You can create adjustment layer (a la Photoshop)

In the parent track You have to move the effects to the right of the composite box.
