    no, AE really isn’t an audio tool. but there a r e people out here who use other software and do other stuff than AE animation 24/7. for serious audio work, 16bit/44khz or 16bit/48khz is not really what you go for. you just have to switch back when you dive into AE, that was my point.

    thanks, but no. allthough, realized that turning the “cast shadows option” to off, solved that problem. but i like those shadows…

    and there used to be smaller RAMs than 1gig in the good old days…

    thanks guys for your very informative answers. i gather there’s nothing in the specs that is different for a 13 euro or 130 euro cat 5e cable? just the quality of materials and such.

    ok, exporting via compressor is ok, but not being able to see any effects or transitions while working really sucks. but no solution seems to be available?

    bogiesan, could you mention a few packages that you were thinkin of?

    got really into Max/MSP for a while, while doing a few other things etc
    and realized today, that i forgot the original goal along the way,
    software that responds to visual data.
