  • Ok i understand but still the file being outputting is 2795×3160 (ala the raw footage) has massive black bars all around the footage. I have attached the image in

    How it looks in resolve

Ah sorry, im using Premiere CC 2015 (latest version) and is coming in at ProRes 4444 2048 × 1536.

Are you saying its normal to see a little bit of curve when using anamorphic lens an i shouldnt worry?

The clip is now all one .MOV, i want to break it apart, move the audio slightly then merge.

Hi, thanks for the information. I actually found a great little youtube video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AnK7ddZJw_c) which broke down what interplay is. Its very good but not for what i need.

I am looking to move from small time editing (mainly corporate and stand alone shows) to more networking larger productions where ISIS is needed and i might need to drop down to a assistant level for the time being, whilst i learn the ropes as i know they are two completely different worlds!

I think i will look in to getting some ISIS training and thank you for pointing out that Unity was the old version, that would have confused me!

Hi Jordon, i know this is a old(ish) thread any chance you could break the your work flow down step by step, im going to be worked with R3D files and the test i have done have the same problem that Eric has. The plan is to do the grade in Resolve and i would like them the have both the time remapping and be able to grade with he R3D files at the same time, this is the only message/web page that i have found with any sort of solution!

  • I managed to find some 150fps footage and did a test edit and imported to Resolve, it all looks great but the time effects were lost in translation, to resolve. I didnt come across any sort of judder or pixelation, but wondering if you had come across a work around with time remapping and resolve?

They will be quite big, its for a music video, so lots of slow downs and start ups ect.

I have tried to do a CS 6 to resolve with a few time remaps, but nothing came though, just the basic edit. I have looked online and cannot find a work flow that works. I do not really want to have to grade the piece first and then edit.

  • That sounds like a massive work around for every section of every clip, from the looks of the plan none of the video will be native 24/25p. Surely there must be a way to edit all in Premier without having to use After effects as at the end of the day its just going to be speed ramps.
