What if I am somehow able to shoot video in some establishment, though I do not get permission to do so.

What if I do not show a corporate logo, though some of the corporate colors
and decor is visible. So maybe it is at a Starbucks and the green colors on the wall are visible, or the blue and yellow of a Blockbuster video store???

    Thanks!!!!

1.) What about the resolution of the display can make the video look poor? With a large display it has to strech the video beyond 720 x 480, what is it technically doing if it is displayed on a 2600 x whatever display?

2.) what is “uprezing?” I am guessing that means to somehow upconvert from SD to HD. How can you add pixels if there were never captured during the inital shoot?

    Thanks for your response!

I didn’t realize they were that much money. If that is what it costs for a good one, then that is what I will spend.

Is SoundTrack Pro new to the new FCP Suite OR has it been around?

I had used Adobe Audition in the past to do basic editing of audio files. Do you know if SoundTrack Pro has the same capabilities as Audition?

    Thanks.

June 6, 2007 at 12:24 am in reply to: Basic HD Questions

1.) I know that you can not get an accurate representation of how the video will look when viewed on a computer display, though I’m wondering what it is like viewing HD video on a non-HD display. I guess I was wondering if there were any issues like the display not being able to handle it or something similar…

2.) Assuming the “noticeable” difference is positive, if you have access to a HD cam such as the HVX, is there any reason to not always shoot in HD and downconvert later to SD? Assuming that you have the space on the P2 card and the hard drive space.

3.) As for the third question, again, I was just wondering if there were any issues with a SD display trying to render HD video — any types of artifacts, etc. making it difficult to view.

    Thanks!

By faster data rate, are you referring to HD video?

Can you get to it if you export a QT file as self-contained and open in Compressor?

I have read not to export directly from FCP in various locations.

Where is this Audio Formats folder located? I checked and still do not see it.

    Thanks!
