I tried to use Subtitle-Edit just now exactly as according to this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jVTEwJ9Ckiw
exporting in the EBU-stl format but YouTube returned the same message,
I am using Vegas 12 at the moment and it does come up with the message.
I’ve tried on different computers and it doesn’t seem to work.

I opened the VEGGIE and was able to change TC framerate to 29.97fps which I’m using,
disabled the test pattern layer, saved it and imported it as a nested project,
working fine.
I actually have Adobe Media Encoder installed and realized it can burn in timecode, but I
couldn’t get it to run (I have After Effects activated but Encoder says it’s not activated).
Thanks,
That’s ok, I’ll try to render to another codec that supports cRGB levels, probably DNxHD, I’m rendering 1080i, besides DNxHD, any other intermediary codecs I can try that support cRGB levels? Thanks,
