August 1, 2012 at 9:35 pm in reply to: Vegas 11 Hangs on Initializing External MonitorsJust deleted the program and re-installed and it STILL hangs.
Just noticed on Friday there was a major Windows upgrade on my computer. I’m going to turn off automatic updates and try to restore to before Friday.I’ll let you know.

August 1, 2012 at 8:59 pm in reply to: Vegas 11 Hangs on Initializing External MonitorsBefore it will let me end the 2nd process, I have to close out the “Vegas has stopeed working” window. As soon as I close out that window the program is closed so there’s nothing for me to end. Very frustrating.
I did go in to safe mode and was able to start the program. I couldn’t hear anything because there was no sound in safe mode. So that means there is some kind of conflict with windows. Perhaps a new update is conflicting. I might try a system restore to a later date.

No items in red in overview tab.
When I right click Vegas110.exe I get these options:End Process
End Process Tree
Analyze Wait Chain
Suspend Process
Search OnlineWhen I select “Analyze Wait Chain” it shows the following with an arrow pointing down from fist line to second:
Vegas110.exe (PID:3812) Thread:4584
Vegas110.exe (PID:3812) Thread:3664Does that mean anything to you?

Sorry for not getting back. I figured out the problem. Perhaps it’s a bug in Vegas 9?
I was flying in a graphic and the graphic at the beginning of the fly in was off screen a bit. I moved the opening fly in graphic just to where it was barely off screen and it rendered fine.
Apparently, it doesn’t like it if you have a graphic fly in from too far away.
Thanks again for your responses and help. I wanted to post the solution in case anyone else was having the same problem.

Impressive..most impressive… BUT YOU’RE NOT A JEDI YET!!!
I changed the jpeg to a png and put in the project. Actually I created a new project with just the logo png at the end with text. Total length is 10 seconds long. When I try to save at 1280 x 720 it hangs at 1%. 10 minutes and it’s still 1%.
Here’s what I’m trying to do save.

I can save fine at 640 x 360 – but I need to figure this out because I’ve got to deliver 1280 x 720 on Monday.
Thanks so much for your help. I’ve uploaded a video but it’s taking a long time for it to be approved. I’ll put it up when it’s approved.
