January 28, 2012 at 5:55 am in reply to: How to fill a green screen keyed video clip with another video masked inside it?Thanks for your reply, I am having trouble and wondering if you can give a few pointers.
I duplicated the track with the alpha glow edges, and removed the glow effect on the duplicated track. I then placed the video that I want to use as my fill, below the track I duplicated.
I am new to track mattes, I looked at the link that Michael provided on track mattes, since I wasn’t sure where to find them.
Is it just the “Blending Mode” menu when you right click the track? I chose “Stencil Alpha” from there but it didn’t seem to do anything. I tried “Silhouette Alpha” as well but it didn’t do the trick.
I think I might be missing something here, if you are able to give a hand I would appreciate it. Thanks.

I am getting closer with the shape layers and effects, but want to get more familiar with the terms here, what do you mean comp the clip on top of itself?

August 28, 2011 at 11:19 pm in reply to: Green Screen and Keylight difficulties, darker parts of subjectThanks for the detailed reply Mr Agriosi! I am trying to wrap my head around the logistics of it, I’m only a month or so in to keying and editing and working with After Effects, some things with layers and comps confuse me. I will try to take things step by step but, I can’t expect you to hold my hand and tell me every thing I need to do one at a time.
I will try to figure out how to use color range and matte choker, I’ve never done that before. I see you say the trick is in combining keyers and layers, but that is a little abstract at the moment. I will keep at it this evening, I appreciate your help!

August 28, 2011 at 9:28 pm in reply to: Green Screen and Keylight difficulties, darker parts of subjectThanks Niccolo. I think the problem I’m having is, there is wiggling and black spots in the boots of the player after I key, and start to use the clip in other things. I have a space background that is rolling by, and I can see the dark spots in the boots wiggle and change. I will try to do a test video and zoom in on the boots to show the problem.
I am using Keylight right now.

August 20, 2011 at 5:23 pm in reply to: How can I make a Wiggle epression object follow a path as well?Oh hey! What a coincidence, I am using one of your expressions from this link: https://www.motionscript.com/design-guide/looping-wiggle.html
I guess I don’t need it to do looping really, I could just do something simpler. So I should just do a straight wiggle(x, x)? I remember liking how the expression on your looping page looked, which is why I used it.
