Wow, did anyone READ what I posted?
I did actually mention 8281B – the “B” is important.
It is a modern foamed dielectric version of the old 8281.

Both of these are single coax cables. When you are cutting them, take good care to cut them to as exactly the same length as you can, most easily done by laying them out side by side.

How far do you need to go?

Thanks. It would be really useful if a future Encore release added the abilty to save DDP files out to disk.
The replicator here is happy to accept these burnt to DVD data disks.

[Bob Zelin] “I have no idea of what happened in this product development for Sony.”
Indeed and the fact that most of the LDM SD models only have a 640×480 LCD, means PAL users get an interpolated view of things.

Tmpgenc won’t go above 15Mb/s in 422@ML either.

February 27, 2006 at 2:16 am in reply to: Decklink 10 bit workflow and mpeg2 question[Peter Corbett] “I send all my masters to Dubsat via 15mbs MP@ML”
Interesting. I thought all Aussie delivery agents had the same requirement. Quoting from Adstream:
“The file formats we accept are:
MPEG files (.mpg or .mpeg):
MPEG2 4:2:2 (25 Mbps or higher)”Here it is 422@ML or nothing.
The encoding options for 422@ML are limited and expensive. Telestream is one or Digital Rapids cards and software.

You may want to double check with the stations what MPEG profile they require the TVC in.
Here in NZ, the requirement is 15Mb/s MPEG2 422@ML, not MP@ML which is 4:2:0 and is commonly used for DVD etc.
Either way 10 bit not going to gain you anything, as both formats only encode to 8 bit.
If you do need 422@ML, CCE will not do it (not sure about Procoder).

Hi Luke,
Do you know if any testing was done with single core Athlon64?
I ask as I am successfully using a single 3GHz P4 on the Supermicro P4SCT and would have thought that a fast Athlon64 single core on the Asus A8N-E would have done likewise.
If so it would mean a competent SD system could be assembled for really not much money.

Hi Francisco,
I can endorse the P4SCT (SD only) – we have one working fine.
