That makes sense that it could be a corrupt typeface. Good advice on loading just a few at a time. I will try that over the next day or two (when i can get a break from drowning under the current work load)
Thanks for your help. Ill post back when i have meesed with it some more. have a great day.

    Hey Joe
Thanks so much for taking the time to respond. To answer your questions: Yes , I am using a PC. And I installed the fonts through the Control Panel

I have opened up Character Map and it seems that all of the fonts that i installed have letters as well as characters available, which is also evident as i use them in Photoshop. They are not dingbats. If I click on a character, or place my mouse on a character, there is a box in the bottom of the Character Map window that says Character Code : 0x50 or 0x43 ect ect. Does that mean I have to type a “0” then a “50” to get, say, the letter “a” That doesnt make sense. If that is the case, is there a way i can map the Font to my keyboard so “a” is “a” and “b” is “b” and so on?

    Hey John
    Thanks for the reply.
Ok first off we are using Encore CS5 on a Intel Xeon E5520 @ 2.27GHZ
64 bit op system Is that what you are looking for

Second…you mentioned the “It would be interesting to see if the same thing happens when you use the “button pad”, of the Preview to see if the same thing happens.” I am not sure where the “button pad in preview” is, can you direct me to that?

I have uploaded a screenshot (i think)of the project in Encore because i am not sure of what the Subpicture HTL is. I have never uploaded an image to Cow before and am not sure if I am doing it correctly.

Let me know if you can help, I do appreciate it.

Thanks for the idea, but before I try this, let me further explain myself. Each week i will have a new DVD to make with 3 new segments. Each week i will have to create 3 new pictures of guests from the show and use them in the Menu. Is there a way that I can save just the attributes from the previous week and apply them to the new pics so they all resize the same. (Much like CTRL C -copy and CTRL V paste when working in graphic editing.) I am tryingt o not have to manually resize each picture when i bring it into Encore.

I hope this explains it better
and thanks for your help so far

Thanks Alex I appreciate it. I think we may have gotten a corrupt file. We were sent 4 files 3 of which worked but the fourth caused us to crash the system. I will try your ideas. thanks for taking the time to respond have a good one.

    Hey Ashley
I feel your pain i have spent the past two and a half hours trying a lot of what I have found in the COW forum, with not much success.

In my project I have a group of JPGs, scaled to 25% with a sepia tone applied, moving across the bottom of the program monitor and there is a lot of shimmering. I started playing with the filters and the like ( and the Anti Flicker option under Motion in the Effect Controls panel isn’t worth a damn, it actually made it worse) and the best thing i found is to right click on the clip and choose Frame Blend. It knocked almost all of the shimmer out. Of course the project i am working on is going to be shown on a 10′ X 10′ projection screen so the potential for it looking like A#$ is great. Try this to see if it works for you
