No… not really…. but the psds will have transparency in them

Look at the Nonsquare presets in the New Menu for either PS CS or CS2
Both list the Pixel Aspect Ratios in a pulldown menu as well

Check out Print with Preview command and also look at your image size to ensure how big it really is
Suggest if resolution baffles you, pick up “Understanding Adobe Photoshop”

Or if you need to convert a bunch of iamges… you can try Image Processor script in PS or Bridge

Experiment with layer sets/groups and yes you can click the add mask button to ad a lyer mask and use the gradient tool

Beleive the pluginsite has a productg called plugin commander

Eitehr dupicate a hicontrast channel or use caluclations to create a new one
Then adjust levels on the channel to create a good matte
Then use a command click ot load channel to make a slection
Add a layer mask etc
