Lol, ive wondered the same thing. the computer writes slower to a outside drive than an inside one. Unless youn have a really expensive one…well less expensive these days.

I think you could achieve the same effect using the cc lens effect. maybe add a bulge on top or underneath it for theta extra distortion.

I don’t know expressions. I try to understand but can’t grasp it. My best skill is seeing a n effect and knowing how to reproduce it. In order to do that you must experiment with as many effects as you can. Heck i don’t think I’ve got them all down yet.

Ya, probably just lots of time remapping. What might make a project such as this easier to produce is if you applied your time remapping to a slider with values from -2 to +2(or whatever you want). This way you could just animate the slide instead of lots of painful time remapping.
Also. have you ever put a wiggle on time remapping? It makes a pretty cool effect. You could even add a separate slider for the wiggle.
Also probably doesn’t hurt if you shoot your footage at a higher frame rate.

Looks like the echo effect to me. Should be pretty easy to recreate as long as the camera or the subject is moving.

Thanks for your detailed answer. I had thought once you go in to editable mode that you could go back out and increase the number of polygons in the sphere to make it smoother.

I do not see a mode section in tools. Isn’t the polygon triangle symbol next to object supposed to change when i exit editable mode. Its not.

It can be done with particular’s aux system. Or perhaps with the echo effect.

I see im a week too late, But i used element 3d to create this.. Its just a link on my Facebook page, starts at 8 seconds. I added multiple layers but the bottom is just wireframes.

It was made in particular. i know exactly how they made that. But you have no time, and i don’t know of any templates. heck you probably don’t even care anymore.
