center it, or create a group null and rotate that or use the shape options under group 1 to rotate it or animate the offset of the text…so many options

yes…use alpha mattes instead of masks

those look like shapes and not masks to me..which would make it not work.. But its hard to tell. I would track something then add a glow after wards.

check active camera to make sure it says actuve camera or front…i cant tell from your picture what is going on

I didnt realize you were still trying to figure this out..set the rows to 1 columns to lets say 10/ flip axis y, transition width 100

In my experiences any brush tool has severe limitations , drawback, and lots of bugs inside after effects…it been this way for years and they have no idea how to fix it

ya..unfortunately thats how it works…you will need to pre render out your waving flag..then attach it to the plane

Really…you must not have tried very hard,…there is element 3d…not to mention the faux 3d technigue of stacking layers..Or heck you can Even just change the COMP SETTINGS to RAY TRACE…and extrude some geometry
