track a glowing dot problem
Hi, sorry for the newby question,
i have an animated stroke with a glow and i want to motion track the glowing dot, but when i try that the tracker simply goes randomly down left the comp.
All i want to do is track the glowing dot and apply the position keys to a null object.
(i already tried to copy paste the mask of the stroke into the null position prop, but it does not work, seems it paste a mask to the null and the null disapper O_0 )
i can’t understand why the mask to position trick does not work and why the tracker seems to completely ignore the glow and go randomly around the black background.

those look like shapes and not masks to me..which would make it not work.. But its hard to tell. I would track something then add a glow after wards.

I got it to work normally after i reinstalled AE….It has perfectly tracked every single frame. Thx for the answer anyway
