Ive been using after effects for years and I never knew about the esc key…that “is” useful

I tried photo animator…but i could not get it to work..I even went back to it just now and still could not get it to work…well not well enough to be considered working

yeah…ive tried it…It doesnt work on every photo and the ones that it does takes an exceeding large amount of work just for 1 photo

But volumax is not a plugin…its a project template….and it worked for you?

did it only essentially just make enough 2d copies of it …you know…this value+[0,0,index]…
or is the end result better looking than that? Because im interested now

I turn off the png before I render…and yet only sometimes does it give me the error…most of the time it works

it looks like an accident from poor video codec…but it could be replicated using fractal noise with a blocky and using the brightness (animated) as a luma matte

.maybe Im misunderstanding. but it seems really easy/ Saber or stroke would be my first choice..and you essentially want to use that as a luma matte for some other image. which sounds like a good plan.
