Yes i noticed that too. This survey is either rigged to make the cloud look like its the solution that all want. or there will be no cs7. Maybe its just last years survey.

This must be a old survey or rigged survey it asks if we want to purchase cs6 or the cloud. So unless our only option in 2013 is Cs6 then it must be old.

April 25, 2013 at 6:43 pm in reply to: will never use any other editing software other than what Adobe provides – even if they hate itYes but if adobe anywhere takes the medium to highend it will mean the death of avid and a hard rethincking on the part of apple as to its development of fcpx into a pro app. If adobe becomes the defacto tool for highend content it will sway all the wannabees talented or not into its realm. What incentive will developers have? All schools will be adobe only. The exception will be the diehard users of other apps they will be a vanashing breed.

April 18, 2013 at 5:14 pm in reply to: **Danger Will Robinson** **Danger Will Robinson**I am sure that any cost in keeping codes if any would be greatly upset buy the cost of upgrading and could posibly lead to more cloud or maintanence upgrading from previous grades. Cs6 would cost what is current, from previuos version would cost more until a new lic would appear a bettr solution. Isnt this better than casting away thousands of users? Its a way of squeezing out more money and at the same time giving options.

April 18, 2013 at 4:13 pm in reply to: **Danger Will Robinson** **Danger Will Robinson**There are many ways that Adobe can increase its income without doing away wjth the perpetual lic.
They can make upgrading available only from a previous version. Any prior version can also upgrade but for a higher cost say the cost of a yearly cloud subscription or higher depending on the version. As many have said before. perpetual lic. is part of business model as is the subscription. They can also introduce a mothly or yearly maintenace subscription as a prepay for upgrades.
Subscription is a good way to start using the apps both for those transitioning from other apps and that ar starting out. if you are a multi seat facility it can be a great money saver. But these are not the cases for many of is and I frankly hope that Adobe takes both business models as clients and not abandon many if not most of us.
