I agree with all of you but the 14-140 lens is free and for exteriors and controlled lighting video work it works great.
You can get depth of field too. You can also purchase for about 340. the lumix 50 mm pancake lens which works great.
Personally I have a collection of canon fd lens and I am considering the olympus 12-40 2.0 zoom lens about 2300.

Adobe has many more seats than even fcp any version. True many might just be sitting there but do you thik thie are 1 million fcp pro editors?

You should try the panasonic af100 (the best of dslr in a vidcam format)it has sdi/hdi conectors great for multicam. This should make an outstanding image

Before you decide check the panasoniv AF 100. it has the best of both worlds the camcorder and the dslr. With all the extras you need to make your dslr workable you can probably get the af100.
Among other things the claim is better video than the ex1 camera and more.That said a good dslr can be handy to have in the tool kit.

I am also sure but the ability to use virtual actors that look real and maybe even dead actors brought back can be very a compelling temptation in all aspects. The future actors could be like andy serkis

Virtual sets and props have already become very comun.
Just imagine a future team doing a film all on computers connected very much like today’s colaborative editing setups.
I feel that artistic,cost,greed and practicality will be the moving forces behind this.
