Had the same problem and not only did I have to delete the site settings, but also had to build a new user profile as well in order to get MC 7.0.3 to show the waveforms again.

Which version of MC are you working in, and are you Mac or PC platform?

  • Agreed, 9.9.3 and 7.0.3 is the only working combination

Turns out to be the 10.0 driver is the culprit. Have to go back two versions to 9.2.2 in order to solve this issue. BMD has some issues.

My UltraStudio 4k has distortion in one XLR output. The other channel is fine and so are both channels in the HDMI output. I have to run driver 10.0 because Avid will not see the device in earlier versions. I have this issue with two different US 4k units

This is exactly what I’ve done. The resulting clips on a 29.97 timeline are still not crisp, and suffer from judder. Conversely, the same Nikon h264 files converted in Encoder and imported onto the same 29.97 timeline look clear and very little judder in the fast panning shots.

Thank you John. Yes, the field motion is reading progressive. In order to transcode to 29.97, I must open the bin in a 29.97 project correct?

Actually depends on the version you’re on. Avid changed it in MC7. So the real answer is to export a QT file in each flavor and then import that file back into your project. The one that matches the look of your sequence is the correct one.
