No yea, I hear you on logging, i feel logging is great when your in charge of the content exactly. However, if you doing something i like to call RCP or recontextualized content (promotion) all the time, the “footage” is already determined in size, therefore subclips are needed in order to highlight key elements. For instance, this project i’m working on right now, is more or less a multimedia essay that i’m using in conjunction with microsoft/mac word 08.
the workflow for better or worse is one i’m used to from plowing through these things with premiere. my work is on youtube, WOMP2007
if i were capturing footage from a camera, in other words, being professional, i would ONLY log in and outs first, that works best and is most organized, but since i’m trying to figure out the copyright dilemma of existing content spun differently, i need to make sub clip of larger clips with ease, its an essential component to the linguistic editing i do with multimedia.
