    You’re right…

yes, the music is from the director of the show, so i got it from the source. I know she provided it to the theater. Great question on what was used for playback…i’ll need to ask. I’ll keep you “posted!” (sorry, couldn’t resist!)

    Hey Michael,

I had to walk away from this issue due to work but now i’m trying to finally wrap this puppy up. I’ve spent hours trying different things, testing, redigitizing the footage, etc. I’m digitizing my footage at the proper settings: hdv 1080i60… I’ve tried various ways to change the mp3s into 48khz .aiffs (compressor, quicktime conversion, …) …..NOTHING i do gets the music sound files (.aifs) in sync with the camera audio files. I’m baffled. Can you lend any more insight to what the problem may be? and how to fix…i’ve never come across this before.

They are already matching as i stated in the first inquiry…i’m positive. (i.e. when you bring the project file media into the timeline it asks you to match the settings….)AND i’ve quadruple checked this a million times.

Furthermore this does not explain why the problem persists with the 2 .aiff or .wav audio files that i’m working with.

PS, i did try what you suggested with the mp3s and it’s not working.

    Hi,

Thank you for your response…unfortunately i think it’s something different. As i mentioned one of the music files is a .aiff and is the correct specs and it’s still having the problem.

Also in the past i’ve worked with temp mp3 audio files until i got .aiffs and i’ve never had this problem before….

    any other advice?

that’s what i did….or tried to do…but how do you set a custom time code for the black and code function? I tried in the various windows of the edit to tape window (upper left and bottom left)….still started on the tape from 00. i’ll try again….

that only allows one to change the time code for the timeline…i know about this one..i’m talking about outputting so when you lay down your bars and code, slate etc…it will start at 59 min…so your show can start at one hour.
