If I may… I have another question re: the same topic.
Is there any visual indicator to signify the audio has been Mix Down rendered?
Does anything change color, underline, capitalize? I noticed that I really like pressing Option-Command more than I do Control-Option I think it’s because I’m left handed? But for whatever reason I seem to be doing it a-lot without noticing.

Victor, bang-on! My mistake was that I was pressing Option-Command-R (Mixdown render). When I meant to be pressing Control-Option-R (Audio render). The solution is to simply deselect the Track Audible buttons (FCP warns of the impending loss of render files) and then re-enable and render properly. Thank you very much for your help, I certainly appreciate it.

I don’t think there is a “Clear Recent Clips Pop-up menu” button in Final Cut Pro. But there is a way to clear the menu of all but one of the recent clips…

Open the user preferences window and in the General tab select the List Recent Clips box and change the value to 1 (Final Cut Pro won’t accept a zero value) click okay. Reopen the User Preferences window and again in the General tab, change the value back to 20 (or whatever amount you like to store). Now look in the List recent Clips Pop-up menu and you will have only the one clip left over from the previous project and space for 19 clips from the currently opened project.

If someone has a more elegant solution I’d be happy to know it. Thank you all in advance for your support. Ray…
