I don’t think there is a “Clear Recent Clips Pop-up menu” button in Final Cut Pro. But there is a way to clear the menu of all but one of the recent clips…
Open the user preferences window and in the General tab select the List Recent Clips box and change the value to 1 (Final Cut Pro won’t accept a zero value) click okay. Reopen the User Preferences window and again in the General tab, change the value back to 20 (or whatever amount you like to store). Now look in the List recent Clips Pop-up menu and you will have only the one clip left over from the previous project and space for 19 clips from the currently opened project.
