So the Macbook as an editing tool is just not good enough i feel. Also, the MBpro, with a cable convertor to connect the firewire 800 to the mini dv decks, and using the express slot with a Firewire/esata connection to ur external scratch disk (perhaps a portable) seems to be the only roundabout way to this. Any forseeable problems with this, using FCP ? and anyone knows if Final Cut Studio 1 or 2 will be able to function on a MBpro or MB?

I’m sorry , I am new to this forum, but what long thread are you referring to?
