But you wouldn’t think that would be in issue just trying to open FCP and it coming up with the error message that I have no video device connected. Maybe it does. It is very frustrating. Can I even go backwards with Quicktime and get an older version? My Pro key won’t work if I do. UUUHHHGGGG. Randy

It will not let me choose all frames because I have no external video. It is all grey. I have no external video thru firewire but for some dumb reason I have full control over the deck. I don’t get it. It is pretty sad when the cheezy I-Movie that comes with the computer will regocnize my video but FCP won’t. hmmmmmm

No other ones. I have not even gone that far. Usually that is for viewing on export and your monitor. When FCP launches is says it can’t find the Firewire. But I still have device control and play, stop rewind and so on. Very strange. Randy

Thank you. The footage looks amazing so I wouldn’t think I would need to anyhow. Thank you for all your input. I learned a lot about HD. I think I need to read more trade mags to keep up to date. Thanks, Randy

I have always done that with Beta and DV footage. I choose Lower Field First. Does that also apply to DVCPROHD 24p footage?
