Understand. It is a 7 min clip not many FX filters and single stream video. By render I mean to render a QT clip (FCP QT) so i can burn a DVD. I have a 2 gig dual processor. This slow render was not always the case. It’s like something was corrupted?

    1) What is GMIP? 2) I have no photoshop loaded on the G5 3) I create PSD with both Mac and PC 8 bit RGB LAYERED I load them in FCP and they are NOT LAYERED I take the same file and load it into photoshop (on another machine) and it IS LAYERED Sooo… They are not loading as sequences but as flat imageges My question is… Is anyone loading PSD or PNG layered files into a G5 FCP5 with no photoshop loaded on the same G5 that the FCP is loaded on?

I made the file. 7 layers different colors I cut wholes in each layer so you could see through the layers. I saved as a psd with the layer box checked? When I open the file in photoshop it is not flattened but when I import into FCP I agree, its as if it was flat… Is there a special way to import? I just select file>import…
