That looks great. I might spring for the additional amount to get the production package. Thanks!

They want it as 720×480 29.97. I’ve tried a couple of variations of that via Quicktime Conversion (DV and uncompressed versions). The uncompressed looks really good but I haven’t figured out the correct combination of settings yet to get the 16×9 to show up as letterbox in the 720×480 frame. The DV version looke awful so I’m hoping I can get it to 720×480 29.97 uncompressed and then they can drop it on their FCP timeline and if necessary render to their timeline sequence settings. Thanks for the response. I’ll try compressor too.

Hi Laura. Thanks for the replies. The MXO works great with my MacBook Pro 17″ with the exception of needing drivers for JVC’s 720p format at 23.98. It handles 720p at 60 now. I have the MXO hooked up to a SONY monitor and it handles the downconvert beautifully. I purchased a pair of Genelec monitors that are fed from the MXO and that works great as well. I’m very happy with the setup. I just hope other drivers are in the works. I think it will be an excellent product once that happens. 🙂

I could not reach the article with that link. I would really like to see what it says. I have a MacBook Pro 17″ and I bought the MXO. It works on my system but if you switch back and forth to other applications or change the project display settings it becomes unstable. I’ve also noticed that trying play JVC’s 720 24p material through it (there is only a 1200×720 59.94 YUV display option) results in the external component looking fine but the Canvas display freaks out. So I can use the box right now for downverting material and editing NTSC DV, etc. but it is a bit unstable for the 720p edit. Hopefully they can rememdy this with a driver or firmware update. I’d love to see the article you referenced though so I can determine if I need to return the MXO. Thanks.

Hey no problem at all Will. BTW are there specific regions of the US that you are interested in or just nature shots in general? I’m planning on developing my own stock footage site later this year. I’ve got 12 years of footage from 22 countries on the shelves to go thru. 🙂
