Hi all. I’ve just finished my first 1280×720 24p production and I’ve had a request to receive a Quicktime of the program for inclusion in a 720×480 DV program. What is the best way to make this Quicktime movie so they can import my show into their DV program? First time trying this so any input is most appreciated. 🙂

First find out exactly what settings they want it in, and then use compressor to convert it to those settings.

They want it as 720×480 29.97. I’ve tried a couple of variations of that via Quicktime Conversion (DV and uncompressed versions). The uncompressed looks really good but I haven’t figured out the correct combination of settings yet to get the 16×9 to show up as letterbox in the 720×480 frame. The DV version looke awful so I’m hoping I can get it to 720×480 29.97 uncompressed and then they can drop it on their FCP timeline and if necessary render to their timeline sequence settings. Thanks for the response. I’ll try compressor too.
