Huh? PP Third party… I could see if BM was supplyng the edit software, but in this case, they are not. Point is we need VU meters on capture internal to the editing software.

I find this to be an essential tool. How can a faced paced editorial house rely on third party plugins for, lets say, batch digitize. This is a no brainer. C’mon adobe, you can hover thumbnails but you’ve missed something as essential as meters for digitizing.

Bug reports don’t meet hard deadlines. Never have, never will. That’s why I came here for a solution and I found one with Peter’s dedication.

The issue was created when updating CS5 not Boris, so how does that become a Boris bug? Maligns is pretty strong language, this is simply a direct comparison in their responses. I’m sure Todd has done some amazing things for Adobe’s AE, after all he is an employee. In your entire response the only thing that makes sense is that “he’s trying to help”. Maybe he should try a little harder. There is a lesson to be learned here.

The bug was caused when CS5 updated. So is that a Boris bug? I think not. I’m not knocking Todd, I’m simply showing a direct contrast in customer support between 2 companies. If there is anything to be learned here it is don’t become complacent.

I’m glad you mention video card drivers. What is the latest approved driver for the Nvidia Quadro CX. I’m currently running 8.17.12.5912.

Yes it’s just the boris bcc7 3d object filters which cause AE to crash. Your fix however reminds me of a very bad jike. Doctor says “What hurts?” Patient replies. “it hurts when i do this” doctor says “then do do that”. Any other words of wisdom. I’m on a Z800, windows 7 64 pro, 24 gigs ram, dual quad cores, Nvidia Quadro CX.
