AE Version 10.01.1.19 BCC AE 7

When trying to use any of BCC 3D object filters system crashes. I’ve called up old 3d logos from months past and they also crash while trying to read .eps file. Tried disabling open gl, no luck. Tried turning video preview off, no luck. Any recommendations?

This only happens when using the Boris effects?

If so, my first recommendation is to not use those effects.

Then, submit a bug report with details about exactly which effects are causing the problem, so we can work with Boris to find and address the problem.

    Todd-

Yes it’s just the boris bcc7 3d object filters which cause AE to crash. Your fix however reminds me of a very bad jike. Doctor says “What hurts?” Patient replies. “it hurts when i do this” doctor says “then do do that”. Any other words of wisdom. I’m on a Z800, windows 7 64 pro, 24 gigs ram, dual quad cores, Nvidia Quadro CX.

If I were in your position, I’d contact Boris support.

I’d also make sure that my video card drivers were up to date.

In addition to the above, I’d also suggest making sure you’re running the latest Boris release, and I’d try disabling multiprocessing (if it’s on).

I’m glad you mention video card drivers. What is the latest approved driver for the Nvidia Quadro CX. I’m currently running 8.17.12.5912.

    Hello All,
Follow these steps and let me know please…
    Turn On Caplocks.
    Open AE CS5.5
    Send comp to renderer
start render, wait for OpenGL report, click OK
Immediately stop render, turn off caps lock.

Should work, work for me repeatedly on any 3d effect project.

    🙂
