Ya know what is SUPER funny? Comcast said that they could only accept 720 x 480 SD lol…. SO the video ended up letter boxed and lower quality. WONK wonk.

In short, I did get the MP4 to work. and I also was able to change the file to .mov by just changing the name from mp4 to mov

Last question… In your opinion, do you think a 5gb file for a 30min broadcast is big or is that about the norm? I have seen some programs on the server that are 1.2gb. Im just wondering how they did that.

Comcast says the mpg2 is 12mbps (cbr) and the mp4 is 45mbps (cbr)

Does it really have to be that high? that is a pretty large file. Not sure why they want the Mbps to be so high. Andy input or ideas on how to circumvent the high end MBps?

Is there a way to get the rendered file down to a smaller size? My 30 min tv show is 5gb. Comcast accepts MPEG2, Avid DNxHD, ans H.264. I have tried them all, but my renderd file size seems a extremely large.

    Any insight would be appreciated.

Yes that would be the question…But I am thinking that there is no real clear cut answer. Im just trying to shorten the process and decrease the size of the project. It ended up taking 8 hours, and produced a 2.76gb file. Is the files size supposed to be that large?

it could be a CPU issue. Running a Core 2 Duo. (but my friend has i7) both goes up to 90% during the transitions and graphics fx. Would rendering take as long on a mac?

The commercial took about 3 hours.

ok..As for the 30 min show, I will try to answer as much as I can. (My other computer is rendering as we speak, so I cant check the settings)

The project was shot with a cannon xa10. I have conservative broadcast color correction. Upper field, lower thirds, HD till photos, fade-ins and outs, and texts.

    Project settings MPg2 720p (1080×720) 29.92fps @12mbps cbr,
