That depends on the effect that you have installed.
Traditional FC plugins got installed in Main/Library/Applications Support/ Final Cut Pro System Support/ Plugins. You just need to move or delete them.
Then there are many other filters which get installed in different ways and many of them build their own folders in different places of the system.

The best option is exporting the sequence with the current setting.
Never use QT Conversion.

I would recommend you to use PNG instead of TIFF. I don’t know why but TIFF has given some times more problems. Probably because the many options on exporting.
If you go PNG, just make sure that FC don’t interpret them as Interlaced.[Eddie Largo] “4800 x 2700 x 72dpi for the ‘moves’, for import into FCP.”
Yes, If you gonna pan zoom a lot the pictures. If you don’t need to pan/zoom that much, keep the the smaller you can. If after you gonna need to downscale the still in FC because they are too big, you don’t make a good business (poor downscaling in FC), so try to keep the still as smaller as possible. Just big enough to make the “moves” you want.[Eddie Largo] “Problem I’ve found is the amount of rendering that needs to be done (i.e. each image indivdually). Anyone got a way around this?”
Rise the “Still Cache”: System Settings > Memory&Cache.

[Andrew Rendell] “The composite waveform is properly clipped though, so I guess the filter only legalises luminance and not gamut…”
Yes legalize Luma, BUT..one of the problems with this filter is that do not really control the Chroma amplitude.
When it says “Custom Saturation Limiting”, what is really limiting is the full composite signal: Luma + Chroma. This is why the last slider is call Reduce Luma/Chroma. You can pull one or the other to keep the Composite signal below the limit.
The RGB Limiting only works in the highlight, do not clip under-blacks.
This is filter comes from the time of the SD NTSC and PAL, so was not intended to legalize things that were not a problem at that time (under-blacks and RGB gamut.HOWEVERy, the stand alone “RGB Limit” filter (Color Correction filters folder, no the one inside the Broadcast Safe filter) WORKS PROPERLY controlling the RGB levels, clipping RGB at the needed levels.

For me sounds strange.
The default value for Color Broadcast safe is 0 IRE.
In Color is easy to check the sub-blacks clipping checking ON and OFF the Broadcast Safe window.

Try with the “Levels” or the “RGB Limit” filters after the Broadcast Safe.

That’s not a DVD. Not even a VCD.
I guess is an interective CD-ROM or so.[Louise Macaulay] “I can’t get play.exe to work at all, so I’m not sure what the “assets” do. According to MPEGStreamclip, the mpg files are 224 MPEG-1, 352×240, 29.97fps, 1.15 Mbps, audio is 192 MP2 stereo, 44.1 kHz, 224 kbps.
Any suggestions on how to do…. something??… with this DVD? Thanks in advance!”
You need to upscale the MPG-1 video.
Use MPGStreamclip and convert to Quick Time.
– Use 8b Uncompressed or Prores to avoid more picture degradation.
– Upscale to 720 x 480 (DVD standard size)
– Uncheck “Interlaced Scaling”.
Leave the rest of the controls as they are.
With the resulting QT file fallow the normal process in Compressor or DVDSTP.
