You can put the subtitles and the Time Code wherever you want.
Use the “cCenter” in the TC Generator filter.

You have a chance of recovering the MP4 from your HD using DataRescue or FileSalvage, but is very possible that while recovering the files, those get corrupted. Probably Treasured (aeroquarter.com) could fix them.

Hi Erik,
I’ve never worked with the Canon stuff, but, if I’m not wrong, the Canon needs to be L&T with the help of a Canon plugin for FC.

Where do you have the media stored?
If is on the System HD, try with an external HD.
If you are already using an external HD, try to make some system maintennace: Repairing Permissions and rebuilding Directories (DiskWarrior).

You mean loading FC or opening a project?
If FC takes long to load it might be because your system may need some maintenance.
Start by “Repairing Permissions” on your system HD.

You need to change the dimension as well.
1440×1080 HD pixels is the equivalent to 1920×1080 Squared pixels.
That will shows up everywhere as proper 16×9.
In Compressor, set “Frame Control ON”, and “Resize Filter: BEST”.
It will take longer, but you will achieve better picture quality.

Export your movie with 1920×1080 Square Pixels.
