The sample rate shouldn’t cause any problem.
FC can manage whatever sample rate you drop in. For example, no problems with tracks from CDs (44.1Khz).
So far there are two problems that has been causing audio drifts on FC, the one mentioned on my post, and an old FC’s bug documented on this article:

If you have installed FC and Compressor you have QT Pro installed by default.
FC can’t run without QT Pro, I mean QTP is an integral part of FCS.

If your System HD is too full, it may not have room enough for the Virtual Memory needed for FC or whatever other processes going on.
Open the Activity Monitor and have a look.

Hi Thomas,
No one de-interlacing filter will improve the picture quality, the best filters will degrade the picture less than the others.
The FC’s deinterlacer is not at all a good one.
The best tool for deinterlacing inside FC has been for years the Re_Vision FieldsKit.
The Nattress also offers options not available in the FCs filter.

Sorry if I don’t understand what you want to achieve.
If you are able to open the files with QT Player, you will be able to open them with QT Pro, MGSTreamclip or Compressor and convert the files to Prores with the setting you want.

Download Perian (free) and you will be able to open the files on any QT based application.

Hi Miguel,
I’ve never worked with DNxHD, but I think that the workflow you propose you can easily get in troubles.
If you google “DNxHD to Prores problems”, you can find a long list of issues that you may face when transcoding back the corrected stuff to Prores (Gamma shifts, levels mapping).
Personally I would try to avoid that workflow.

No.
What Shane means is that you need to convert those files to Prores before editing.
You have many options to do the conversion. The easiest one probably is MPGStreamclip, because his batch option.
The one that may gives the best quality is 5DtoRGB, but will be the slower one.The plugin that Shane mentioned is interesting because can embed the original TC on the Prores files, and would make possible reconnecting to the original files on FC.
But you probably don’t need that.
