Importing Still Frames at 1 Frame Each?
Hi,
I have a folder with 101 .png files that I want to import into FCP. I can import the folder but upon importation FCP changes each frame to 10 seconds vs 1 fame. This is useless to me as I want to re-export the folder as a 101 frame QT movie.
I have been through every setting I can find, but I can’t find the setting to change this to 1 frame vs what appears to be a default of 10 seconds.
Anyone have any ideas where this setting change is hiding?

Go to users preference>editing and change the default duration of still to 1frame

Also, all the frames you made need to have the same number of digits in their names. i.e. if you made 300 frames, the first frame needs to start as 001, not just “1”. Otherwise, the files will get scrambled.

re-import the stills after you have changed the setting

You can also make a sequence using just Quicktime Pro if the frames are numbered on order. Just point it to the first frame in the sequence, tell it what format to make and go. Very simple and easy.

Any luck with this? I have the setting in my prefs to import for a duration of 0.125 but I still end up with a 10 second import (after attempting a re-import, of course). FCPX 10.0.8
