That’s normal.
You can’t capture NOTHING with that desk from an HDV tape.You need an HDV camcorder or desk for capturing.

FCE is very limited and you have only those options. Nothing you can do.

That’s probably the best solution.

You need to export an Mp4/H264, not QT/H264.

You are right.
If your monitor connexion is S-Video, you need one of the Infinitys with Thunderbolt.
No way to connect the T-Tap unless SDI or HDMI IN.

That makes no sense.
The only you will get is to making the stuff running slower (80%) and the pull down will still be there.
How you gonna edit that?

I think that you will have to take the one you can connect to your monitor.
If the Monitor plugs by SDI, the T-Tap is the one.
If the monitor has only analog input (Components, Composite, S-Video), the you will need an Infinity/Thunderbolt.
