Yeah I started over on my project in a 3d program, just wondering at this point

Yeah I get what you’re saying.
And I wasn’t offended, just returning the flavor.
even the title of the post was to get attention, not really call it unreachable magic.
I do experiment, but I’m stuck making dry as sand commercials for small businesses and want to change that.
I’m too busy to play for more than an hour or two here and there and just wanna cut to the chase.
clients do like some off the cuff original stuff, but usually are asking for stuff they’ve seen.
some of the older aged clients don’t want anything past the style of the 80’s
I’m not beyond experimenting either, just because I say I want to know how to do a very specific thing.
the meyers books were a great start and showed a lot of practical techniques.
The thing is though is that this is art and as such I’d like to know should I use charcol or pastle so to speak to get a certain look.
If I can reach my goals in a month rather than a year by seeing how people manage to do certain things in a certain way, I do some other new and interesting stuff.
I was asking for an arrow sign.
I already do this stuff seven days a week while skinning my teeth to catch deadlines.
I’m the script writer, videographer, set designer, editor, concept designer, blah, blah, blah.
thank god I have an audio engineer or I’d do that too.
anyway, as soon as you said mattes and blurs, I could see what direction to take, so thanks for the great advise.
I tried some things there and moved some mattes through 3d space and started to see how to work the feathery light angle.
it looked like crap, but in the right direction for the first go.

I guess I’ll just give up and go cry for a while.
Anyway, thanks for the advise about the moving matte stuff.
I’ll play around when I get some time.
Oh and where can I get this ‘make it look great’ plugin?
I’ve been looking for it and can’t find it.
Maybe you could help me find a ‘make me sound like less of an idiot while asking for advise on a forum’ plugin.
