Thanks Shane, I can create the ProRes Construction & drop ex3 files & then render it. But when I chckedthe data rate of canon footage with apple pro res hq 422 it’s about 21mb/s. And ex3 with 35mb mode is still about 4.4mb/s. Which means canon prores footage quality is 5 times more then Sony. Will I notice any difference after rendering both the footages in prores construction? I intend to release this film in theatres thats the reason I m pretty concern with the final output. Or is there any alternative method to edit?

Thanks, but is there any easier way to do this, as there r few 100 files that I need to do. I m editing a documentary film & most of the footage that I shot was on canon hdslr & few are in EX3. But I want to edit the whole construction in Apple Pro Res 422. Canons log & transfer supports Prores 422 very easily, but for EX3 it’s not happening. I hope u understand my situation

What do you mean by media manage… could you please ellaborate.. Do I have to use Media manage of FCP? if yes then how? Or is there a software provided in Sony Clip Manager?….

I can convert H264 to Prores 422
But I need to know how to Convert your EX-1 p25 to Prores p25.
& then how to Conform the Prores p25 stuff to p24. -
Hi Rafael,
Most of the footage is on Canon 5DMarkII 24p, as I was advised by one of my colleges that film format is 24p & not 25p. So suppose if I use 24p, then could you advise me the work flow & the entire process. Plus after the edit in what format should I export the entire timeline to make it workable for release in film theaters. -
If I export the file in XDCAM EX MP4 format, then how do i create BPAV folder. And if I create that folder, and copy back to SxS card then will the file read in the Camera?
Also which is the best way for me to project the XDCAM HD mov to HD Projectors. Earlier I used to use Print to Video option on my Sony M25 HD Deck, which would record the whole FCP construction to HD Tape. But now since I have EX3 I dont know how to dump the whole construction. Well I can export the whole timeline to a single mov clip. But then if I need to do the projection on full HD quality then what is the best way for me to transfer the data and keep the Masters.
