The codec is ProRess 422 for the first sequence. I went ahead and changed the second one to this as well. It was at HDV 1080i60

BUT the thing is that if I create a new sequence and copy/paste cut up footage from my first sequence, then it won’t ask me ‘change sequence settings to match the clip settings?’. It will simply paste it and give me the green preview bar that needs rendering, and give me the sequence settings I previously mentioned (1440×1080, 29.97, etc). It will only ask me if i want to match the settings if I grab original or subclipped ftg from my browser.

So did I just answer my own question. In order for all my sequence settings to be the same, on any new one I create, do I have to drop in the original, say yes to matching and then copy/paste from my first sequence…?

I already did plenty of work on sequence2 and dropping it into sequence 3, after I made sure the settings were what I wanted, makes it look odd/warped (because the settings were different on 2 I realize that). Can I remedy this without having to start and cut all over?

Your help is much much appreciated!!

    Thanks,
    M

Thanks Cali. I’m actually trying to use a cross dissolve so how would I go about doing this?
