The installation issues are with the operating system. OSX has hidden program setup files similar to the way Windows does. I don’t know how to find the files you need to delete, as they are coded, I believe. I’ve had similar problems with Adobe software on the Mac I work with. If one could easily find these files (and modify or delete them as needed, of course), you could run off trial versions of any program indefinitely! 😀

If I remember correctly, you need to uninstall both programs and reinstall the regular version. Take note of the setup screens, you may find it defaulting to a trial version, or with a serial number already showing up that may be for a trial version. Make sure the proper serial number is installed. That SHOULD take care of the issue.

If that doesn’t work, unless you really need to specifically use Word and want to put up with the MS help center, you could just dump it altogether and use Open Office. Open Office can read and write to MS Office documents, and it is an entire office suite like MS Office, except it’s a bit cheaper. 🙂

    Open Office is free:

Not overtly full. Not sure why that would make a difference. I’ve had desktops that were more full of icons, files, and whatnot in OS 9 and earlier and nothing ever wandered off. I’ve only seen this phenomenom in OS 10.

Someone “traced” the individuals with a flashlite with an open shutter on the camera with a very small F-stop (notice the large depth-of-field). Then they fired off a fill-in flash at a desired exposure.

Obviously some tests were performed to find the right amount of time/F to expose the light coming in through the sides. Usually it takes a few tries to get the flashlight traces where you want them, but with today’s digital cameras that doesn’t take too long. I’ve done stuff like this.

Thanks for your replies. Well, the system has a gig of ram, and because of it’s age we won’t be spending any more money on this hardware (the hard drive I put in was a spare). I noticed the system was hanging up a lot (spinning beach ball of death) and thought it may be because the system drive was full and it didn’t have enough “breathing space” for the v-ram. Running disk utility didn’t help.

No big deal. We’re slated for a new roster of machines soon and can finally put this clunker out to pasture. Thanks again.

Hey thanks!. I’ll have to check to see which disk this is. It sounds like there are several disks, I hope it’s identified somehow.
