    Wait!
Cs 5.5 is nice, but needs improvements!
A word to fcp 7: I had switched to premiere pro, because if you want to work with long GOP formats like xdcam hd 422, fcp is not reliable at all! I have to switch all the pictos off and still it’s a matter of time untill I have the next crash. So: fcp might do its job for some, I had waited for years for the improvements and woke up with fcpx. So as prp in its state right now isn’t an improvement, cs 6 might be – or avid.
The nice side effect of the switcher-offers: the creative suit with ps and ae and encoder really is worth its price!

  • Anything changed with Leo? I’m just asking as I suffer from crashes with xdcam he 422 footage as well.

  • Same Problem!! And: its a 4567 Clips Project. Did you find a solution?

Same with me. I get out of memory warnings- and serious crashes. Keylight Support sugests to just only use keylIght and no other filter whatsoever. That’s not what you want, is it? I mean: at least colorcorrextion should be an option. Too bad, I like keylight the best of all key-plug ins.
    Is there any other solution/workaround?

  • Throw every single into one single folder! Thats what we coped with that situation- we had over 6000 clips!

I have – last Time 3 weeks ago, shortly before I decided to switch. He will endoure the same difficulties I had. It’s a good nle, but not ready for (at least) me. Maybe on a PC it works better. But: disliking apple for fcpx and the insecurity about what’s coming next, doesn’t have to lead to buy a PC. At least not yet.

I Know that – we are vorging with XDCAM hd 422 and HDV footage. Well, mpeg2 stuff isn’t really something fcp Lobes, but you usually can work with.
    Any other clous?

    Thanks!
I am using the blackmagic/decklink Studio2. And I have heard, that the bm-downconverter is not supposed to do a good job.
