We’re currently beginning development of Drupal module to allow a company/website/editor/creative pro upload a video (or audio) into a simple web interface, have a client automatically notified when a file is available for download and even set a limited availability (ie auto-expire).
The current plan is to give away the module when it’s complete under GPLv3 or something to that effect. We plan to have this complete around Christmas.
In the mean time we’re using Wuala, as we’ve found (with many clients) even FTP, as simple as it is, is just too difficult. Other options include Dropbox and the like.
These services can be useful if your website is running on a very limited shared hosting platform; they are often tuned for file delivery to clients etc.,
After saying all this, if you can use FTP (SFTP preferably) with your client, it is a reliable, known quantity.

I think the previous suggestion is a good one. DNxHD might be what you need as the best compromise between quality, amount of data and the ability to share easily with someone editing on an Avid system.
For no quality loss the other option is uncompressed but that could end up being rather heavy with 1080p30 10-bit YUV coming it at about 10GB/min (165.72 MB/sec).

I had some trouble for a while with 5.5.1 on 10.7.1 but I deleted the Premiere Pro preference file (~/Libraries/Preferences/), cleaned the system and user cache with Titanium Software’s Onyx and Premiere has been surprisingly stable since.

I have not experienced this (yet) but if it was me, I’d use the Project Manager to copy out a given sequence and see if that doesn’t reduce the filesize. You could then re-import any footage you need. If there’s a an issue with the project files themselves perhaps this will help?
This is off the top of my head so take the suggestion with a few grains of salt. 😉

I think OnLocation should/could be able to do what you want. It can definitely export CSVs of shot lists; now how easy it is to make a collection of already imported clips I don’t know but check it out and see if it does what you need it to.
“File -> Export -> Filtered/Selected Project Items as Shot List” is, I think what you need.
In testing it out before posting, I had to add the “Start Timecode” to the list of metadata display/columns.

Is it possible your playback setting are half-resolution? (You can right click on the playback/destination window and select the playback quality.)
One way to tell is if you hold/pause on a title (and the window returns to full-res) the title becomes “right” again.

It’s a feature request I’ve been making (and encouraging others) to make with the Export/AME interfaces:
https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishformFCP/Compressor has a “Current” (framerate) option which will default the export to match the source – and many of us are used to that – especially with the Compressor YouTube/H.264 presets. One little change would prevent issues like this and make encodes/presets that much quicker when you frequently work with deliverables of widely varying framerates being delivered in similar formats.

I realize the answer wasn’t for me, but coming from a (formerly) FCP-exclusive shop I like CS’s way better. You can keep a bunch of “Motion projects” (aka compositions) in a single AE file.
So far, that’s the only difference I can see Kevin. Did I miss something?
