There are other issues as well that are caused by dsiabling the plug in. The blacks in the test footage I rendered were very badly crushed (most detail lost) and as this is black and white film – not a good thing!

I think the only solution here is to convert all the footage to another codec that Vegas15 can handle.

The company really should fix this as a matter of urgency.

Hi George

I seem to have fixed it by disabling the mxhevcplug.dll plug in. Renamed the folder and that forced it to use the quick time plug in that was already there.

Not exactly ideal, but it appears to have solved this particular issue for now. Hopefully the next version of Vegas will have a proper native solution to this problem as I can’t believe I am the only person experiencing this.

Probably. More than a slight bug, though! It makes it unusable. Pro res is pretty much a standard delivery format these days

I believe there are ways of bypassing it, but I’m sure that adds other complexities to the process.

all looks very standard to me. It was a scan from a 35mm print. 4k, downconverted to HD.

It plays fine in other players (like VLC) where I can move it forward frame by frame with no issues and it plays fine in Resolve etc. But I have a very complicated projec t in Veags that I’m loathe to recreate in Resolve so I’d really like to get it working in veags. I think this must be a Vegas problem. I’ve had no response as yet from their customer service helpline

and it’s one particular video stream that’s exhibiting this weird lag. The bit of video in the other video track responds fine. But that’s DNxHD. Maybe I should convert the other video to DNxHD too?
