How does the Fuji 2x compare with the Cannon 2x which is more expensive.
Best place to get buy this camera?

HVX 500 is a SD chip and the HDX900 is a HD chip. Looking at both cameras thru a 17″ Panasonic monitor the 900 was sharper than the 500. The viewfinder was better on the 900. and dont forget the free monitor with the 900.

Shane, are you sure about shooting 1080p. I have read the brochures on the 500 and 900 and they say 1080i I know the HVX200 only shoots 1080i.
I would love to get a camera that shoots 1080p

Thanks Shane, yes your right there is lots of factors. I would be shooting at 720p 29.97 frames though I might shoot at 24 f. Not sure about shooting less @ 24 frames I’m not sure if I like the look.
Tne Panasonic cameras dont do 1080p So I think I have to go 720p with Panasonic. Unless you know of a solution for up rezing.
What media are Broadcasters excepting HD?
Just read on a site using Toast 8 Blue Ray 45 gig takes 90 mins to burn but they didnt say what CP
I’m on a Betacam system right now so Im trying to figure out whats best for the next 10 years.

Shane thanks a lot for your great info! Really useful right now. We havnt bought the HVX200 yet and we are just evaluating it against our heavy BetacamSP camera.
What is BBC settings with the HVX200?Any thoughts on the Matrix MXO hooked up to a 23″ Cinema display for viewing HD? see

I just tried it with AJA LA io. Didnt work for me either. Line in Etc
Yea Bogie was right. The USB worked ok in FCP 5 and SoundTrack.
If anybody can get it to work with AJA LA IO let me know.

Well I’m still on my Media100 v8.2. FCP seems a little tricky compared with m100.
Hope Boris can make a go with it as there are still m100 fans on the list.
