Just got my HPX500 pkg and I love it.
The Fuji lens that came with the pkg (XA17X7.6BRM-m58B) doesn’t say HD on the lens, but the pkg says it was HD. Is this the correct lens? Also the pkg on Panny’s site said the lens was “CAC”, but nothing on the lens is marked as such. I know CAC is built in to the hpx 500, but since I shelled out a ton of cash for this pkg, just want to make sure it’s all the right stuff…

    any help appreciated

I don’t have experience with this but the topic has been discussed here before. Try a search for CAC in this forum.

According to this link the lenses are the same but I would think there would be some contact pins on the mount (hot shoe style) so the lens and camera can “talk”

I’ve got a spec sheet from Fuji that says at the top: “Lenses for
Panasonic DVC Pro HD/P2 HD Cameras”, with your version & mine on it (I’ve the 2x). It is for sure the right stuff.
