Jeff thanks for the input..I have spoken to the support guy for the hardware that does the final encode for air. ..unfortunately the specs he sent me were a screenshot of the Adobe Media Encoder for Mpeg2, which I had already been using, to no avail. Its one of those situations where they came in and did the install ..trained the folks here how to run it, and then provide support by email/phone. It may be something as simple as a marginal encode computer or local setting, but I have no way of knowing, or getting anyone locally to take the time to investigate it. Just was hoping someone here might have run into similar circumstances.

vince..thanks for the response..finally figured it out..not unlike what you were suggesting. I took the most recent auto save…copied the header to the drive that the app resides on and it opened. Evidently the links to the files got corrupted when I deleted the render files. Thanks again for the response!

Vince…really appreciate the help..I think the problem lies in the fact I have a HP media center pc.which has the built in tivo and other hype in it..which according to hp support ( i use that term loosely), has no firewire out only in..they’re saying that the only video outs are through the video card as the firewire port is direct to the motherboard. directly to the mother board..did you say I can hook up another cheap firewire out?…i do have a ge7800 nvidia card hooked up, which has the twin dvi outs and a s video in out port. with the s video out thru the pyro i get a signal to the ntsc monitor..but all i can get in on the display through the nvidia settings is either a clone, or extended view screen not the preview or full screen monitor playback. Am i right in understanding that the ntsc/reference composite video out is only accessed thru the dv port in premiere? I’m thinking there must be a setting somewhere either in pp2 or the nvidia card that would allow the composite signal out thru the s video port instead of just the firewire port.I’m about ready to eat a bullet here..Thanks for any insight in advance!
