  • ppcs3 project will not open after render files deleted

I hope someone has had this issue..have about a month worth of work in a pp cs3 project..last night deleted all render files…now it will not open..get the “serious error, well try to save” and ” must close sorry for the incovenience” eror messages. reloaded the entire production premium application…same result.. its only this specific project (and auto saves of it)…others open fine..
    Any help much appreciated!

Very strange… If this happens to all the autosaves, that sounds more like an issue with the footage itself. I would move the folder containing all your footage, pictures, etc., but not the project file itself. You will then have to relink that footage, but that will allow you to isolate the issue. In fact , the issue may just resolve itself.

You could try deleting the media cache files, peak files as well.

BTW, you can send me the project file if you want (Kaptis @ gmail.com). I will try to open it with offline files and see if I get that same issue.

    Cheers,

vince..thanks for the response..finally figured it out..not unlike what you were suggesting. I took the most recent auto save…copied the header to the drive that the app resides on and it opened. Evidently the links to the files got corrupted when I deleted the render files. Thanks again for the response!
