Oh you’re right. I didn’t realise that the “checkbox” next to the role name, toggles them on/off.
I’ve gone one step further and changed the role of my master audio to “master” which excludes it from unchecking “music” and “dialogue” roles.
So no need to select anything manually.

Unfortunately, this doesn’t work in the case where I need to select all audio. Because video/dialog roles don’t separate the audio, even though the audio has been collapsed or expanded.

All I need to do (and I’ve done it before, I just can’t remember at the moment) is to select and disable all “audio” except one new audio track which is a mastered version of the audio for the whole video.

ie I now need all audio removed, so I can replace it with a mastered version of the audio.

    Hi,

I just create the text I want with the Text tool, choose Paragraph style for the text (for formatting credits). From memory, I then add a Scroll behavior on that object and finally make sure I export the project as ProRes4444, to get the transparency when I import back into FCPX.

  • Are you just after the convenience of having a plugin do it?
I haven’t seen how Apple does it, actually.

But I just completed a project presentation with a split screen, showing the presenter on the left and about 70% of the screen on the right showing the slide picture.

But this was reasonably easily achieved just by using the Transform effect to fit each clip into the same view.

    Am I missing something?
I can appreciate the convenience of a specialized splitter plugin for many tasks, but not quite seeing it for this one.

    Thank you.
I had tried “dragging” the transition onto the all-selected clips with no success. I’ll try double-clicking as adding to both ends of the clip might be OK.
