The HDX900 doesn’t come with a lens or anything actually. Just the camera body like most professional video cameras. They don’t even come with viewfinders or a way to stick it on a tripod. Everything else is bought seperatly and adds up very fast.

    Congrats !

I’ve had mine a week now and I love it.

There is a small fix you may need to do reguarding two screws underneath the battery mount. Your dealer may have done it already but, they just need to be tightened. Takes 5 min tops and is very easy but, dont strip any screws. Probably should ask your dealer about it if you aren’t sure.

I got my camera today after a bit of a fight with Fedex. Unfortunatly it arrived too late to do much playing with. It did, however, come with a pdf of the manual on CDROM. If someone wants to host for the Cow community I’ll be happy to email it to them so they can share it with everyone. Its only 2.8 mb but, I dont have access to my web server from where I’m at at the moment.

Tony’s prints were all over it too.

You better not have left any finger prints on my camera Tony 😉

I heard a very few cameras were delivered last week. Like one per dealer or such. There are supposed to be a few more this week but, not many again. I heard if you were to order one today it might be two months before you see it.

  • Rent them a Firestore FS-100 with the camera and hopefully they wont even use tape.

I’ve heard rumors that delivery has been pushed back by Panasonic to later this month. Maybe someone here knows for sure but, it wouldn’t surprise me.
